Online Exploitation, Sextortion, and Fraud
How criminals target young people and seniors.
Join the Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach for Community Conversations, a free public evening exploring online threats affecting children, youth, and seniors, and what families and communities can do to help protect them.
Derek Sullivan, Toronto Police Service Gang Unit, will discuss how organized crime uses the internet to manipulate and exploit young people and seniors through sextortion and fraud.
Christine Dineen, Ontario Provincial Police, Collingwood; school resource officer, will discuss internet child exploitation and what is happening in our local community.
Moderator Mike Foley will guide the discussion, with opportunities for audience questions.
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, caregiver, educator, senior, or concerned community member, join us to become better informed and continue the conversation with others.

Community Conversations is a free public speaker series hosted by the Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach on the last Monday of each month, except June and December. Through presentations and moderated discussions, the series brings people together to explore topics of interest, share perspectives, and connect.
